How to win with sportsbetting #5 - Do you use a system?

So well. I had a few minor distractions and events that kept me from doing this friday.. I am sorry about the delay.

But let’s look at what’s business. Until now we’ve covered the importance of keeping accounting, being serious, and not getting distracted by your feelings and knowing when to quit.

#5 This time it’s about having a system... or not.

There are a ton of systems out there. Depending on what kind of betting you’d use it for.
Personally I have only experience with The Martingale system on Roulette. (other systems include names like ‘Henze’, Super Yankee, Super Heinz and probably a ton more. )

With the Martingale system (in roulette) you pick a color; either red or black and keep playing this color. You’d bet say 1$ at black. So if it hits black fine; you’d win and then you bet 1$ again - at black still. If you lose you’d then double your stake. This means you’ll now bet 2$ at black again. So always double your stake if you lose. Then you’d play until you win and that way you’ll gain what you lost in the end.

There is no guarantees in any game strategies, and this is no exception.
The theory is actually committing a logical fallacy called gambler's fallacy. The main idea in the fallacy is that your luck is bound to turn at sometime. But it won’t necessarily do that.. No matter how many times you bet on the same output the chance will still be 50/50 to win.

I did win using that system on roulette, but I have also lost.

When betting on sports I have kept the idea of 50/50 chance. When betting 1X2 your chances for winning is 33,3% and when going for who scores the first goal, last goal or just scores, the chances are even lower.

I instead bet on Over/Under goals. This could be 2,5 goals or less or more in either the full game or in first or second half. I also do both teams to score (or not) as it is also 50% chance of winning (or losing).
Other 50/50 bets on soccer could also be Over/Under cards or freekicks in a game.

Other things I do, is that I always play single bets. The chances on winning is higher than if you’d play several games on one coupon.

Do you organize yourself in similar ways - or something completely different?
