sportsphotography - Scoccer Game Luftenberg against Langenstein

In summer a friend wanted to have some pictures for their scoccer club homepage so i decided to step in and take some pictures at their friendly match with Langenstein. We where 2 photographers so every one of us was able to shoot the action in one part of the field. This was a very good decision because we didn't need to run so much for the action, but still i got out of breath because to catch the action better you have to be at the same hight than the scoccer ball.

As it was a regional game of two small scoccer clubs it was a rather violent game and i really saw a lot of fouls and unfair action, like grabbing shirts, players slipping into each other not hitting the scoccer ball and so on. But it was a very nice experience for me because i didn't do sports photography that much and this was my first scoccer game. I didn't know that you have to run so much even as a photographer to catch those precios shots.

Unfortunately the day didn't have the best weather and we didn't had the best light conditions, so i had to bump up the ISO pretty much to get a decent shutter speed freezing the action. On still images like this one above not necessary but the action shots really needed a fast shutter speed of at least a 800 part of a second.
