Unusual pit stop

Hungarian Grand Prix 2015

That was the 30th Grand Prix in Hungary. During the Qualification in session Q2 the ill-famed Honda engine gave up under Fernando Alonso at the pit entrance. The session was stopped by the red flag. I was sitting in the last corner, so I got quite a good view on the situation.

There was a heavy traffic on the track, so the marshals couldn’t go to him immediately. He got out and started pushing the car back into the pit alone.

The marshals joined him later.

Alonso didn’t loose his good mood, he waved to the spectators.

On the next day Alonso finished the crazy race in the 5th position. Sebastian Vettel won the race, and dedicated the victory to Jules Bianchi, who passed away a few days earlier.

Hermoso deporte... Quedo hermosa su foto...

Muchas gracias! :-)

I've always wanted to watch a Grand Prix race. I've been to lots of other types of races, but never a Grand Prix. Great photos!

Thank you, @poimenpost! I've been watching F1 since 1984, and I visited a GP in 2010 first time. Since that time I've been to all Hungarian GP. It has a very special atmosphere, the fans are amazing, so I can only encourage you to go!

That's what you call bad luck!

Yeah it seemed a bad luck, but his fifth place at the end of the race was more he had hoped with that car... :-)

Ok thats true hahaha it could have been worse for him!

Great driver indeed. Hopefully Alonso can show his real potential in 2018.

I'm also looking forward his performance in McLaren Renault!
