A paralytic athlete participating in a Cobra 70.3 Iron Man Triathlon passes by at a water station. This is the last course of the race, a supposedly 21 km run, at Punta Engano Cebu, Philippines. And here he is doing what he do best.

The first course of the race is a 1.9 km swimming course followed by a 90 km race course. Obviously, this paralytic athlete did not participate these first two phases of the Cobra 70.3 Iron Man Triathlon. But who knows that he did. We never know.

However, one can just admire of what this paralytic athlete did that despite of his physical state and his limitations as a human person he still does what a normal person can do and capable of. Nothing defies the HUMAN SPIRIT.

Despite all odds his will and determination is a testament of how the human spirit affects the psychological mindset of individuals as this paralytic athlete puts himself to a real test by challenging his own self. His disability does not impede his strong determination to do what he is capable of. He redefines the meaning and perception of PWD's ( Persons With Disabilities).

He represents the PWD's and therefore his triumph and victory is also a triumph and victory to the whole PWD's community as well. Indeed, he is truly an IRON MAN.

Survival of the fittest, as they say, only the strong will survive. Because this world… belongs to the strong, my friend!
