Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love was added to the list of players who backed out in the Team USA training camp for the FIBA World Cup.
It was one day after Damian Lillard decline to play for the World Cup. According to Love, he told Us coach Gregg Popovich about his decision on Wednesday.
Aside from Love and Lillard, the two-time scoring champion and the 2018 NBA Most Valuable Player James Harden, Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis, Tobias Harris, DeMar DeRozan, Eric Gordon, C.J. McCollum, and Bradley Beal.
Usually, the reason for them to decline is to prepare for the upcoming NBA season or some personal stuff.
Others who declined earlier were LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook, while Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson were recovering from injuries.
Love, who has played 22 times since last season, has been injured, with 17.0 points and 10.9 rebounds in 2018-19. Despite this, the Team USA still has no option to run out of who they want to put on their lineup even less in NBA stars.
Kyle Lowry of Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker and Milwaukee forward Khris Middleton are expected to join the roster.
Are all these players declining, I mean are they giving chances to the other countries hmmm?? Haha well maybe we can see new faces in roster for world cup.
