Up at six this morning. Still feeling like I’m short on sleep, but I’m waking up naturally, so I guess it is what it is.
We spent the day getting ready for Christmas. We did a lot of cleaning up, and once again I did some of the little projects that had been sitting waiting for me.
In particular, we got the tree up last night, but the base is for a proper, real tree and we have a fake one, so it fell over and smashed some ornaments. 😢 We struggled with it for a while but gave up.
Today I cut some wood pieces and drilled a hole through them and mounted them to the base. Seems to have solved the issue...at least the tree is still standing at the moment.
Was a gray day today, definitely not a white Christmas. I won’t complain though, the warmer weather is fine with me. Unfortunately, we were too busy getting ready for dinner that we didn’t get out for a walk, so no maps or zombies today. Probably tomorrow, though, we both have the day off.
I played some games for a few minutes and did some serious swearing 🤬 at Steemmonsters. I did finally poke my head into Gold I, though!!! 😀
I didn’t get enough DEC to be able to afford a quest potion 🧪 charge, and accidentally completed it down in Gold II, so not as many rewards cards today.
In the evening Mom came over for Christmas dinner. We had veggies 🌽 🍅, and potatoes 🥔, and pig cakes with sauce, and pork belly. Yummers! And then crumb cake waffles with cloudberry filling for dessert. 😋
After dinner we opened our presents 🎁😁. I got some warm running pants, gloves with fingers that work on the phone so I can take pictures and stuff without having to take them off, and an ankle strap for the Fitbit, and a HEATED jacket (with a battery and everything). Not a bad haul! Not to mention Mom gave me a significant amount of money to help with fixing the upstairs of the house. A very merry Christmas, indeed!
