NorthPort humiliated Barangay Ginebra 98-96 in the ongoing PBA Governors' Cup.

Michael Qualls led NorthPort with 30 points and 13 rebounds.

Sean Anthony contributed 18 points while Christian Standhardinger had 17 points and 11 rebounds.

With the loss, Ginebra has a 7-4 win-loss record that threatened to fall from third place.

NorthPort coach Pido Jarencio said the win was important because they were still in the quarterfinals and were ready to face the twice-to-beat team.
