The University of Santo Tomas beat University of the Philippines twice-to-beat advantage in the stepladder semi-finals of the UAAP Season 82 men's basketball tournament.

In front of a huge audience of 18,548 UST won the do-or-die game against UP by a score of 68-65.

This is thanks to Renzo Subido's three 23.6 seconds remaining, giving them just 66-65 points and Soulemane Chabi Yo's freethrows in the last 4.4 seconds.

Chabi Yo led with a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds, while Subido scored 14 points, 12 of which came from three-point range.

As a result, the Growling Tigers advance to the best-of-three finals against the Ateneo Blue Eagles, which starts Saturday, November 16 at the Araneta Coliseum.
