UST Growling Tigers finished third in UAAP Season 82 men's basketball after defeating University of the Philippines by a score of 84-78.

The Growling Tigers dropped three-pointers despite not playing Rhenz Abando, giving them a 23-22 halftime lead.

The Fighting Maroons situation only got worse when Kobe Paras was forced to step out of the game due to a severe fall. L

UST's Mark Nonoy was also hurt in the game, but was still heavily defended as they led the game at 48-41.

By the second half the same basketball players returned to the game.

With the win, the Tigers now hold a 6-5 win-loss record in third place while UP is in second place with a 6-4 record.
