Frank Lampard has left Derby to take up the vacant manager’s position at Chelsea.

After the departure of Maurizio Sarri. Chelsea have been in the market looking for a manager to replace the vacant position

But speculations about the manager's position at Chelsea has ended, as the London club have come to agree terms with a new coach.

Frank Lampard has left Derby County to take up a coaching role at Chelsea.

Lampard was one of the greatest and most-decorated player of the clubs history.

He has signed a three-year contract to replace Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

Also, Lampard’s assistant at Derby, who happens to be a former Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris, and first-team coach Chris Jones also return to Stamford Bridge, with the Championship club confirming “an undisclosed compensation package has been agreed” for the trio.

This is because the duo never completed the duration of their contract at the lower division club and a compensation is the most appropriate thing to do.

The new Chelsea manager Frank Lampard in his first speech thanked the club, fans and expressed his happiness on returning to Chelsea, a place he considers home.

In his words : “Everyone knows my love for this club and the history we have shared, however, my sole focus is on the job in hand and preparing for the season ahead.

“I am here to work hard, bring further success to the club and I cannot wait to get started.

Many have argued that he lacks the experience to handle a big club like Chelsea, while many think he would be successful. Only time will confirm this but for then, I wish him all the best.

About time. He cares for the club and I believe he’ll instil a positive culture at the club. More importantly, a winning culture too.

Well said man

It will take him a lot of time to adapt considering the fact that he can't sign his own players yet. Let's hope Chelsea don't end up as Manchester United of last season.
