From the Tour de France a cyclist can leave with almost empty hands, such as the components of the Total Direct Energie team, which earned 17,760 euros among all, about 2,000 euros per head, or go home with a real booty.

This is the case of the winner, Egan Bernal, who will pocket a small fortune for his first big lap. The organization of the round will reward him with 500,000 euros for his victory in the general classification and, in addition, he will add 20,000 as the best young man.
That amount will make his team, the Ineos, which also had the second classified, Geraint Thomas, be the one who receives more money from the Tour, almost 800,000 euros, a great distance from the second, the Jumbo of the third classified, Steven Kruijswijk, who will exceed 200,000 euros. That is because the runner-up of the test enters 200,000 euros and the third on the podium, 100,000 euros. The Movistar, for example, will receive 130,000 euros - the sixth team with the most revenue - counting, among other things, 50,000 euros for the best team and 11,000 euros for the Nairo Quintana stage victory.
And is that for each day, the Grand Boucle distributed prizes: 11,000 euros at the first of the day, 5,500 at the second, 2,800 at the third and thus going down to 300 euros that takes the twentieth. Together with that of the best young man and the best team, the rest of the classifications also have an economic endowment: the most regular cyclist, Peter Sagan, will receive 25,000 euros for it and the best climber, Romain Bardet, 11,000 euros.
