The journey man Marcin "Polish Hammer" Gortat has announced his retirement from the NBA after 12-year career of playing basketball. He played with Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers, he was a solid big. Probably a nobody to some just beacause he wasn't known for three-pointers and because he did things that the stat sheet don't show. Marcin Gortat sacrifice their own numbers for others to shine. So many max paid players get those deals with the help of players like Marcin Gortat. It's a reason alot of max players hate when players like a Marcin Gortat gets traded. He was a unselfish team player. One of the most underrated big man during his time in the league. I'm glad that i saw him playing with the Orlando Magic then he was the best back up center in the league then to Phoenix Suns and got traded to my favorite team in 2013 and i'm so happy back then become ine of the best centers in the league. And making a name for himself and had some awesome runs as well with John Wall and Bradley Beal during his prime Wizard days. I remember he only missed six games during his five seasons in Washington. Almost averaged a double-double in three out of his 5- years there. I guess he was the best center for Washington Wizards since Brandon Haywood. Congratulation on a great career.
