The Washington Nationals, which beat the Milwaukee Brewers to secure a ticket to the National League Division Series, announced left-hander Patrick Corbin as the starting pitcher for the first game.
According to report in the major league Baseball website, manager Dave Martinez said he will field Patrick Corbin as the starting pitcher in Game 1 of the Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Corbin, who had 14 wins and seven losses with an ERA of 3.25 in the regular season, started an away game against the Dodgers on May 10 and became a winning pitcher after seven innings of three hits, four walks and eight strikeouts.
Corbin, who played for the Arizona Diamondbacks for seven years, frequently met with the Dodgers, which belong to the same district.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers' selection for Game 1 has yet to be made public.hyun-jin ryu, Clayton Kershaw and Walker B.B.A. knew the order of their appearances, but we will not make an official announcement yet," director Dave Roberts said in a meeting with reporters.
