NOFA Philippines for the third time in China’s Soong Ching Ling Cup

Again and Again and Again!
NEGROS Occidental Football Association (NOFA) will be representing for the third time for the Philippines at at the 2019 Soong Ching Ling Cup China-ASEAN Youth Football Friendly Matches to be held in Hangzhou, China this coming August 1 to 8 2019. The team has 20-member delegation composed of 15 players ( 12 years old and younger) lead by Head coach Noel de Oca. The team is endorsed by Philippine Football Federation (PFF).

The Soong Ching Cup is hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation it is an annual Under 13 eight-a-side football tournament the Chinese Football Federation, and the ASEAN-China Center, to promote friendship and understanding between China and ASEAN countries.

Team NOFA Philippines is in Group A bracket with China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Laos. While Group B bracket comprises Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Cambodia.

NOFA President Mr. Ricky Yanson has high expectation for his team and he said that,

Team NOFA-Philippines has always looked forward to joining the Soong Ching Ling Cup since our first time in 2017...

and he continued that ,

Being a China-ASEAN football tournament, we get to have a glimpse of the level football for Under 13 in these countries.

Team NOFA-Philippines will have to face their first opponent against Malaysia in August 3,2019 followed by match against China on the same day, and in August 4 they will their game against Singapore then they will have their last game elimination round against Laos in August 5.
