I have long wanted to write about swimming, as my daughter has been involved in this sport for 6 years.
In the past I am a former athlete, but only my sport is basketball, I never forgot the words of my coach when he said to our entire team. "When you grow up and you have children, let them go swimming, as this is the only sport that is useful." He meant professional sports, where athletes train to exhaustion.
Many years have passed, and when the question came to which section to send my children for sports, I took them to the swimming section.
The eldest son did not stay in the section; in a month he stopped attending trainings. But my youngest daughter was fascinated by swimming.
She has been practicing since the age of 5, this is a photo of 2013. Now she is 11 years old and she has the third adult level in swimming, she has a beautiful posture and a strong spine.
Of course, this is a big job, training 2 times a day, and I feel sorry for her when she comes tired, but I know for sure that her health will be good.

A great one. I also sent my kids to swim when they were younger but now they a teenager and do whatever they want:). Can't force them anymore. But your coach was totally right and swimming fix many problems, especially in childhood.
