How The Top 5 Leagues Spend In The Summer Transfer Window

In an attempt to strengthen their team, various clubs in the top 5 leagues in Europe has spent so much on bringing in some players they know will serve as a major boost in their team against the season. When am talking about the top 5 leagues here, i'm are talking about the English premier league, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, French ligue 1 and the German Bundesliga league which are the most competitive league as far as league football is concern in Europe.

The English premier league seems to be the league with the highest spending with £1.41billion on signing of new players to different clubs except for Chelsea football club that is currently banned for two transfer window, although the club also secured the services of Kovacic from Real Madrid who was with club on loan last season, other clubs have been so busy in the market most especially clubs like Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Manchester City and many more.

Manchester United seems to be the club with the highest spending with £146m after bringing in Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace at a fees worth of £50m, Daniel James also joined from Swansea City with £15m and Maguire breaking the record for the most expensive defender so far with a fees around £80m from Leicester City. Aston Villa were not left out of the race with the newly promoted club to the league also spending a fees worth of £146m as well to strengthen their team.

The Spanish league popularly know as La Liga also saw some clubs spending big as well to compete with other clubs in the title race which bring the total spending in this league to £1.24bn. Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea on a fees worth of £100m while Barcelona also secured the services of Antonie Griezmann from Atletico Madrid with £120m, Atletico Madrid were not also left behind as they also sign Joao Felix from Benfica with £126m, other clubs in the league also spend some money in the transfer window and everything combine to set a new record in the league as far as transfer market is concern.

Other leagues such as Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 also welcome in some great players to their league and all in general, the European top 5 leagues spent a fees worth of £5bn in the summer transfer window, despite various clubs participating in their league, some of the clubs in all these leagues still have a meeting point both in the UEFA champions league and UEFA Europa league.
