Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire expecting like a chess the upcoming match with Japanese Naoya Inoue this November in the final bout of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) bantamweight tournament.

Donaire points out that they are both Inoue with the right ability and energy and will only win their battle against using the brain.

“We are both gifted fighters with speed and power and intelligence. The one who commits the first mistake in the ring, he will lose. I can tell you that this fight could be like a game of chess, ”Donaire said in an interview with BoxingScene.com.

The winner of this month's Nov. 7 event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama City, Japan will win the World Boxing Association (WBA) regulars, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and The Ring bantamweight titles.

Donaire joked that he had already tried to fight Inoue.

"I feel very motivated and incredibly excited and exciting to jump into a fight with Naoya Inoue in Japan, which is a beautiful country that has educated me spiritually," Donaire said.

Donaire admits that Inoue was devastated by the fact that he was 10 years younger but confident he could deliver a surprise.

“I know that Naoya Inoue is the favorite due to his youth. But, I have a lot of determination to reverse the odds, and for that I will fully dedicate myself to the maximum level with my physical preparations, ”Donaire said.

Donaire, 36, holds a 40-5, 26KOs record while Inoue has an 18-0, 16KOs record.
