Number 1 ranked LSU went into the Peach Bowl as heavy favorites against the number 4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners but could anyone see it being as dominant a performance as it was?

Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts certainly had an appropriate name considering how this game panned out. As a matter of fact, on the very first Sooner possession he was sacked. The next 2 running plays would get shut down for a loss at which point the Oklahoma offense decided to punt.... and said punt was embarrassingly short at just over 20 yards.

In the following possession the Joe Burrow-lead Tiger offense would complete 2 passes and then score a touchdown. They made it look easy too. This had the makings of a blowout written all over it.
Thankfully the Sooners were able to regroup and make a game of it, scoring touchdown of their own on the very next Sooner possession but unfortunately, after the end of the first quarter and a score of 21-7 the game already looked like a lock. The Tigers are simply leaps and bounds better than Oklahoma across the board.

The final score was LSU: 63 / Oklahoma: 28
When your defense is allowing nearly 10 yards per possession, you can't really expect to win a game and the explosively-quick style of offense, heavy on pass-completions show that LSU might just be unstoppable in the Final which takes place on January 13th, 2020. They will face either Ohio State or Clemson.
On a tragic side note: En-route to the game, Steve Ensminger's (offensive coordinator for LSU) daughter-in-law was killed in a plane crash that was on it's way to the Peach Bowl earlier that day.
