Here we have the third runner ups for the thirty ninth edition of the African cup of nations. Nigeria emerging victorious against Tunisia
90 minutes with an estimated 8mins extra time saw the super eagles through to the third position pivoted by a very early third minute goal from Ighalo.
From my end, Tunisia was a bit laid back and were not into the game as much as the eagles were... But yet again, the eagles too did not perform as well as I expected except for a few players who drove the game
Ndidi - with his dogged defensive ability
Ighalo - Goal scorer and oace setter in the first half of the match
Musa - The cheetah on two legs. Kept Tunisia's defences on their toes
Chukwueze - Man with a strong attacking force
Kalu - Last added time substitute who shot two impressive free kicks.
While I found most of the first half boring an uneventful, the second half was a better show. Both teams could be summarized to have put in equal efforts in the first half.
- Possession was at 50% - 50%...
- Shots on targets 4 - 4(1)
Did we deserve this win?? Yes... This match saw us through many attempts at goals.
Nice game play by the super eagles... Up Nigeria.. We have come this far and have the third position to show for it.
Congratulations Nigeria
