In the 2 hour and 13 minute match, Tsitsipas excelled in returning serve in set 1 but started making frequent mistakes in the next 2 sets when Thiem started putting the match in succession. The Austrian even climb up to a 5-0 lead in set 3.

The championship helped Thiem win $ 733,990 in prize money as well as received 500 reward points on the ATP rankings. Tsitsipas received $ 364,615 in prize money and 300 ATP points for runner-up.
