Italy hits Armenia with nine goals

Italy swept away Armenia 9-1 in a match played at the Renzo Barbera stadium on Monday evening, at the end of Group 10 qualifiers for Euro 2020.

Italy's goals were scored by Chiro Immobili (two), Niccolo Zaniolo (two), Niccolo Barrella, Alessio Romagnoli, Giorgino, Ricardo Ursolini and Federico Chiesa.

With that result, Italy finished with a full mark in the top spot with 30 points, while Armenia were frozen at 10 points in fifth place, and the Azzurri had already qualified for the euro before the game today.

According to the statistics network "Squaka", this victory is the largest ever for the Italian national team this century.

Hamas is the beginning

The first attempt of Armenia in the fifth minute through an incursion from Papian in the penalty area, ended with a powerful ground shot, taken by goalkeeper Sirigo to a corner.

Italy opened the scoring in the 8th minute, after Emobili received a perfect cross from Chiesa, completely free of censorship, to head the ball into the Armenian net.

A minute later, Imobili passed a cross that set Zaniolo face-to-face with goalkeeper Irapetian, so that Roma could score the Azzurri's second goal with a low shot.
