Its hard to be surprised that yet another controversy surrounds the UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones who faces a battery charge as reported today. The incident happened in Albuquerque, New Mexico where Jones allegedly, slapped a cocktail waitress in her genital area at a strip club, pull her down to his lap and kissed her neck. Jones also allegedly put her in a chokehold and picked her up off the ground and when she asked him to stop, Jones continued touching her until he decided to leave. This is the police report.

Jon is a well-known troublemaker in and outside of the octagon, brawls, hit and runs, cocaine charges, etc. But was behaving quite nice lately so this news kinda doesn't match his bio. I won't say the girl is lying because I obviously wasn't there but it is possible she exaggerates in her claims to milk some money out of Jones. Just saying, it is possible its also possible Jones did everything she said and more. If so he could face jail time for these charges. Surprisingly Jon tweeted this today.

Jones spokesperson James Hallinan told KRQE

that Jones was unaware of the charge until his team was contacted by KRQE. Per online court records, a letter sent to Jones by Albuquerque police was returned in June. A bench warrant was issued for Jones on June 12 when he failed to show up for a bond arraignment. Jones paid a $300 cash bond Sunday. His next court date is not yet scheduled. Source
