Hard lines to Leroy Sana. Minutes after the transfer window in England was closed, Manchester City announced that Winger had indeed ruptured his right knee ligaments, just as reports have even claimed. The German will have to undergo surgery and is expected to miss much of the upcoming season. Remember, the player was injured on Sunday against Liverpool in a traditional charity defender game.

"Manchester City confirms that Leroy Sana has been injured in the right knee ligaments. He will be undergoing surgery in the coming week and the group will provide Leroy with all the support and training he needs. The club wishes him a speedy recovery," the club's statement said.

This significantly impedes the chance of moving to Bayern Munich. According to reports in recent weeks, Sana has already agreed to sign a five-year champion in Germany, which has itself agreed with the English champion for 110 million euros. Now, the Bavarians will consider whether to continue with the player's acquisition, which is expected to lose a good portion of the 2019/20 season.

Sana has been playing for the past three years at City, which came from Schalke. He has won two championships with her in the FA Cup, twice in the League Cup and twice in the Community Shield, and this past season he finished with 16 goals and 18 cookouts in 47 appearances in all frames.
