Vikings & Panthers to fight it out in the trenches - going UNDER (SportSteem NFL)

in sportsteem •  7 years ago

This is a marquee match-up for this weekend's slate of NFL action. #1 in the North Vikings VS the #2 in the South Panthers. Panthers just saw their division leading Saints lose to the #3 South team ATL Falcons, so they have to be hungry.

Meanwhile, Vikings can close out the playoff hunt (but not seeding) with a win on Sunday.

What do I think will happen? It's going to be a grind out affair, with the Vikings' defense well prepared for Cam Newton. Case Keenum and the Vikes have the slight edge here for the overall affair, but I don't want to put any pick down for the outcome other than the score, which I see going under the 40.5 I'm seeing at Unibet.

Cam Newton is good but we've seen he can be held in check by great defenses. Vikings have a GREAT defense.

Case Keenum is playing well (fantastic compared to his past selves), but the Panthers should be able to contain them enough to keep both teams' scores in the teens. I'm seeing something like 16-13 or even 20-13, but pretty far under the 40.5 I see at the books.

Matchup wise I just can't see the Vikings being stopped. Both sides of the ball they're so consistent. Where the Panthers you have no idea what teams going to show up, but for the importance of the game to the Panthers and being at home I do see it being a close low scoring game. Just seems to obvious haha.

Exactly @kryptocek! I'm with you on that - I'm thinking the Vikings win this, but I don't see the Vikings keeping up in a shoot out, so I'm predicting it won't get to be a shootout (or one-sided blowout by Carolina)

Ahh so hard to predict, but I do agree safest bet is Vikings and the Under. Some absolute great games this weekend too. The two late afternoon games? Doesn't get much better than that!
