The Knicks come limping into Boston at 0-2 after getting blown out by OKC and losing to a mediocre Pistons team. Not a whole lot to get excited about as a Knicks fan besides watching Porzingis do Porzingis things. They dumped a boatload of money on Tim Hardaway Jr. (smart), tried to trade Porzingis before Phil Jackson was run out of town (also smart) and the problem with the rest of their roster is that they don't have any good players. Even their first-rd pick, Nkitilina, is already gimpy.
That being said, they shouldn't be getting NINE points against a Boston team that has looked pretty bad after the Hayward injury/debacle/tragedy. Kyrie is shooting 37% with 5 assists and looks uncomfortable trying to play the role of facilitator instead of scorer. As long as President Brad Stevens is giving crunch-time minutes to Shane Larkin and Abdel Nader, I'm out on laying the 9 points against just about anybody.
Pick: Knicks +9
