In our world today, where everything goes, and most things are no longer frowned on thereby giving people the privilege to make claims which most times are false. An individual may claim that he is a graduate of the Oxford university and the interviewer who has little, or no time has to go extra mile sometimes to consult with the administration to confirmed if the individual actually attended the institution and has the qualification he claims to have, what year he joined the institution and what year he graduated and so on. This process most times is repeated by the interviewer until he finds the right individual suitable for the job. The SpringRole Protocol is all about building a platform that deals with verification and attestation which can be trusted. The platform gives an advantage to those in the job seeking and hiring space. Now, before we go further into the SpringRole Protocol, let’s look at the Foundation behind the Protocol.
The Project Springrole is building a protocol for attestation that is based on a reputation network which rewards both individuals and attesters. What this simply means is that SpringRole wants to build a platform on the blockchain where people can upload their professional profile to get attestations that would in turn create a verified resume which the individual can share and use while job hunting, once this is verified the information is written on the blockchain and won’t have to be re-verified in the future making it reliable.. The Network is useful to both job seekers and employers but personally I think the employer has more of an advantage here. An estimated 53% of resumes contains some amounts of factual inaccuracy or exaggeration, so validation is required when hiring a new candidate, these claims made by the candidate is to be verified by parties that has the information required such as the springrole attestation platform. It’s the compilation of these attestations that makes up the reference checks needed for the candidate.
The blockchain technology has allowed for a unifying and an active solution where users have a permanent and regulated digital ledger and because the SpringRole protocol is powered on the blockchain it is possible to cryptographically verify information when needed. This system has more than one use, but it is focused on developing a protocol that aims at solving an important issue in the hiring and validation process. All these goes to say that the Springrole platform, is responsible for conducting background and reference checks that verifies or denies the validity of the claims made in a resume.
