The former Real Madrid president is not happy at the sacking of Julen Lopetegui. He says its not the Spaniard's fault that the team is in the mess they are in right now. He blamed Perez for the way he had handled the club and its prized players citing Ronaldo's case as a transfer that never should have happened.
Ronaldo, in the media on Monday, revealed that it was Perez who had made him leave the Bernabèu. He says it had never been his intention to leave but that he felt he wasn't valued the way he was when he came into the club in 2009.
Calderon was Real Madrid's president from 2006 till 2009. He held onto the job till Perez came back.
Calderon blames Perez for announcing Lopetegui just two days before the world cup which cost the coach his job a Spain's coach and even the instability that he layer greeted the team. He also blamed the coach for letting Ronaldo leave and not signing a suitable replacement choosing instead to bring back Mariano to take over the famous number '7' jersey.
