Iwobi extends contract with the Gunners

The player has just penned down a new contract with the club. The new contract is a five year pact that will keep him in the club till 2023.

Iwobi has joined other senior players, like Ozil and Xhaka to sign an extension.

Iwobi is one player that has come through the academy system of the Gunners. He arrived at the club when he was 8 years and has gone on to make 98 senior appearances and scored 22 goals.

The Nigerian international was full of excitement to have signed their new contract and said that playing forces Arsenal has been his ambition since he was of young age. He said he wished two continue playing for the club for as long as he could.

It was Iwobi who scored a sudden death penalty in Arsenal's preseason game against Chelsea that helped them win.

Coach Emery was also a glad that Iwobi signed and said that the player is a demonstration that anyone can climb up within hardwork and dedication.
