Manchester United boss has now shifted focus to signing Toni Kroos after the club reluctance to enter talks for Gareth Bale.
Zenedine Zidane left Madrid days after winning the Champions league and coach Lopetugui was announced coach just two days before the world cup began.
Now, the new coach has made it known that the team would be built with Bale in focus. that has zeroed out any potential for Mourinho to have Bale play for him.
Attention now has shifted to Toni Kroos and Mourinho has made him his number one transfer target.
Real Madrid though will be quick to point out to the player's 500 million pounds release clause. This will hopefully deter clubs from coming for the player. United will be hoping that the player himself can convince the club to release him.
That would be a great addition, less playing time for Pereira, Herrera, and Fellaini though
