The Colombia defender Yerry Mina insists his side deserved to qualify from the round of 16 after England saw them out of the World Cup on penalties.
The 23 year old found the net three times in the tournament having his third sensational third goal in the 93rd minute against England which led the match to a game of 120 minutes, then penalties.
Sadly, the equalizing goal was not enough for the South Americans to get through to the next stage as they were being eliminated by the Three Lions.
The Barcelona defender insists it was a huge disappointment to him for his side to get knocked out by England. He is adamant they played to the level of qualification but were just unlucky to be eliminated.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo after the match, he noted that they never deserved to lose that match as they had played better than their England opponents.
He also added that such elimination in the round of 16 was a big blow to their faces, as well as a huge disappointment to them all.
I am so proud of barça players in this tournament
