The Chelsea man Olivier Giroud concluded the 2018 World Cup campaign without registering a shot on target throughout his 546 minutes on the pitch during the tournament.

The French striker featured for 81 minutes in the final match against Croatia on Sunday which ended in a thrilling 4-2 as the forward continued to miss his shots.

After falling out of France's starting eleven against Australia, the former Arsenal striker appeared in the first eleven in their second match against Peru; a performance that kept him rooted as a match starter.

While he was in bad state of finding the net, the fellow forwards Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann were busy causing hazard to defenders throughout the tournament as the two each recorded four goals.
