Putting it through for Mexico, Hirving Lozano scored a wonderful goal against the defending Champions Germany thus securing a win for his country.
The Mexicans showed off an energetic display in the match, with their lively movements and dogged defending which caused a lot of problems for the Germans.
The 35th minute saw Lozano with the goal as he drilled low into the bottom corner past Manuel Neuer after the ball found its way into his path in the Germans 18-yard box.
In the stadium, there were a lot of wild celebrations but these could not be compared to those which went on at home. In the place of Lozano's birth, there were a lot of jubilation.
At that same time, an earthquake was said to have been sensed in the area. In a statement released by the SIMMSA, an earthquake was said to have been detected in Mexico City.
The earthquake was stated as having originated on an artificial basis. Possible conclusions drawn as regards its origin pointed to massive jumping when the goal was scored as the root cause.
The statement also revealed that at 11:32, at least two sensors in the City detected the artificial earthquake.
