A strike from Romelu Lukaku yesterday gave Manchester United a hard gotten victory against Southampton. The goal came in the 89th minute of the game when all seem that both teams will be going home with a point. The victory lifted United to the fourth place position of the league bringing down Arsenal to the fifth place. United had another Chance to extend their lead from 3-2 in the 95th-minute when a penalty was awarded to them but Paul Pogba missed as Southampton keeper Agnus Gunn saved the kick.
United Manager Ole Solskjaer has now gone 15 games unbeaten in the Premier league since taking charge from Jose Mourinho as caretaker. Southampton played exceptional well also with superb goal coming in from both sides. James Ward-Prowse and Andreas Pereira goals for Southampton and United respectively were doubtless the best goals of the game. Yan Valery scored the first goal for Southampton in the 26th minute before Pereira equalized for United in the 53rd minute. United for the first time in the game took the lead with a goal from Lukaku but this tie Southampton equalized again in the 74th minute to make it 2-2 with a goal from a free kick taken by ward-Prowse. It was Lukaku 89th minute goal that gave the lead and victory.
