Reports making the rounds have it that the English football club, Liverpool have agreed on a signing fee with Roma said to be no less than £66million for Alisson, Brazilian goalkeeper.

This week has had the rest enter into intensive talks with the Serie A club. This has so far paid off as they have now been granted permission to speak with the player about a possible move to the Anfield Stadium.

If this deal pulls, through, the Brazilian will become the most expensive goalkeeper in footballing history.

The 25 year old will be coming into Liverpool at a time when Jurgen Klopp is seeking to strengthen a position which had been a problem long before the outburst of a whole lot of errors from Loris Karius during the Champions League finals match with Real Madrid in May.

According to feelers, Alisson is understood to be open to a move to the Merseyside.

However, Liverpool might face stiff competition from the Stamford Bridge dwellers who are looking for a possible replacement for their own goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois who is currently embroiled in a move to Real Madrid.

Liverpool are confident that they would win the race which would see them break world transfer records for both defenders and goalkeepers in the last seven months.
