The end of another solid MotoGP weekend has come. Coming with it is the frustration of Danilo Petrucci after a narrow miss of a podium finish.

Petrucci has been highly critical of the attempts made by Jorge Lorenzo to resist his pass as the race moved into its final moments.

On Saturday, Petrucci had finished up, qualifying on the front row. However, Sunday's 30 lap outing at the Sachsenring on Sunday saw him finish at fourth position, with just 0.7s away from the podium.

He was also the first of four Ducatis considering the tyre wear the rest of the Desmosedici machines suffered from in the race's closing laps.

Petrucci made a sincere admission concerning the race, noting that he had almost fallen into trouble at the two-thirds mark of the race after the rear grip began to diminish rapidly and he fought to mange them.

He added that he was attempting to overtake Lorenzo, with Maverick Vinales coming in hot from behind.

Petrucci also noted that when he tried to maneuver at turn one under Lorenzo, the latter cut off the corner before going on to accelerate back past.

At that point, there was contact and Petrucci notes that he feels the contact was intentionally made.
