Chelsea hero Gianfranco Zola has joined them at Stamford Bridge as an assistant to the former Napoli boss, now Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri.
The former Chelsea forward played for The Blues for seven years in the space between the 1996 and 2003, recording 312 total appearances with 80 valuable goals to rescue the west London team on several occasions.
"To me, I see it as something amazing. It is very important to me to be here again and work with the great Maurizio for the success of the club as a whole. I am more than ready to invest my best in order to record the success the fans always desire." Zola told Chelsea's official website.
The new sparkling assistant coach Zola with the head coach Maurizio Sarri has taken off with a 25 man squad to Perth for The Blues' pre season tour.
