Danny should never have been sold
The ex-red devils defender says that Louis Van Gaal made a mistake in selling Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverly.
Louis Van Gaal came into the fold after David Moyes. These were transition period after over two decades of having the Scott, Sir Alex Ferguson at the head.
Moyes had a disappointing reign and plummeted the club downward and had to be relieved of his duties. Van Gaal came in on the back of a successful outing with Netherlands. He came into the club and sold Welbeck to United's rival, Arsenal after seeing him feature just twice. Cleverly had it even worse as he featured just once before he was loaned an then sold to Everton.
Rio Ferdinand said that was a mistake on the Dutchman's part as the duo were academic graduates and players who knew the core of Manchester United, the traditions and the ins and outs of the club.
