Channing Frye, a veteran center has gone on to sign a new deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers after agreeing to rejoin the squad.
According to league sources who made the news available to both ESPN and Yahoo Sports, Frye signed an $2.4 million contract to last for a period of one year with the Eastern Conference franchise.
With this, the 35 year old now enters his 14th NBA season. Last season saw him average 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game for the Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.
In February, Frye joined the Lakers as part of a trade, moving over from the Cavaliers. This trade included the trio of Isaiah Thomas, a first round draft pick, Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson.
On Saturday, Frye posted on Instagram with the phrase "Well I guess this is hello again". This phrase was accompanied by a picture of him adorning the Cavaliers jersey.
The 2005 NBA draft had Frye end up as the No. 8 overall pick.
His first two seasons had him playing for the New York Knicks before he went on to join the Portland Trail Blazers in 2017.
He had also played for Orlando Magic as well as the Phoenix Suns before he went on to join the Cavaliers in the year 2016.
