However, the new coach of the Knicks, David Fizdale already has his plans laid out for the player, a tall and talented Latvian.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday after the league practice in Las Vegas, Fizdale noted that it was a great luxury for him to have such a player whom he can easily throw round to different positions.

According to Newsday, Fizdale was quoted as saying that he sees a lot of places where Porzingis dynamism can be beneficial to the team.

Fizdale has noted that he can either decide to feature Porzingis at the center or even occasionally use the player at the front forward.

The new coach has stated that after the summer league play comes to an end, he would travel out to Latvia where he wants to try and know his star player.

Fizdale was last November sacked by the Memphis Grizzlies before being hired in May by the Knicks to replace Hornacek.
