Achraf has expressed his mind about the sacking of Julen Lopetegui and says that Real Madrid didn’t give the coach enough time to make his tactics sink into the players.
Lopetegui came into the dugout at a time that many will feel was badly timed. He was just about to take Spain into the world cup when Real Madrid opted to announce him as coach which prompted his sacking as the coach of the Spanish national football team.
Now, less than five months after that, the same club has sacked him. It’s a case of misplaced luck for the embittered coach who could be regretting his earlier decision to choose Real Madrid over the Spanish national side.
Achraf now plies his trade for Borrusia Dortmund and his happy even though it’s a loan move. He comes back to Spain on Tuesday with the German side to face Atheltico Madrid for the champions’ league. He’s happy that he made the move as he’s had a lot of playing opportunities, the likes of which he wouldn’t have gotten at Madrid.
