The Belgian have been told that's the deal to move to Real Madrid is OFF
Courtois have reportedly been itching for a move away from England with Spain in mind. He had often complained that he needed to spend more time with hosanna daughters and Madrid had come calling.
Chelsea looked to be poised today catch in on them player but the issue had been finding a replacement goalie. Everton were unwilling to let Jordan Pickford leave and relegated Stoke City's goalkeeper wasn't an option.
Now, the blues outfit have told Courtois that the deal isn't happening. The Belgian will thus have to play out the remainder of his contract in Stamford bridge.
Chelsea could lose out of cashing in on the goalkeeper as they'd gain nothing if he leaves on free transfer. They have however decided that it's better to have him play this season with them and risk losing cash than to go through the season with any goalkeeper of less abilities.

Chelsea took the best decision. Allison Becker would have been a better replacement but Liverpool were faster. I don't know what is wrong with Chelsea and early transfer in recent years.
