On Sunday, Chelsea suffered their worst defeat since 1991. Manchester City thrashed the West London side 6-0. This is despite the fact that money was splashed few weeks ago for Gonzalo Higuain, the 31-year old Argentine.

I think that a large share of the blame has to go to the coach of the team. The Italian has been adamant in his decision to play in Ngolo Kante in an attacking position when he's clearly one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

The french international won consecutive Premier league titles with Leicester city and Chelsea, during his first season. This goes to show that he is good at what he does. That genius is seen when he plays in the defensive midfield position. However, the Chelsea coach has been dogged and unmovable in his decision to have Kante in an attacking position just so Jorginho could fit into the team. This hasn't worked all season and many clubs have been capitalising on the lack of a strong hold at the defense. As glaring a this is, the coach keeps on doing what he does and this has made the blues to become an easy target for opponents.

So far, there's been no talk as to whether the Chelsea board are still in support of the coach. The Italian though would have to up his games or be thrown out.
