The los blancos outfits has earmarked Roberto Martinez as a potential candidate too replace Lopetegui at Real Madrid.
The Spaniard has not had it easy since taking over from Zinedine Zidane in the summer. He has seen the fortunes of the club plunged down very quickly as Real Madrid now sits almost bottom of the first half of the league table. The players are finding it difficult to carry out his instructions and he could well be on his way out.
Several coaches have been listed as potential candidates to replace the troubled coach with Antonio Conte reportedly the best possible candidate with rumors of an approach already.
Recent news are that the club has contacted Roberto Martinez with the option of making him coach. It would be a tough call to make though as Martinez just got promotion at the Belgium national team adding the role of technical director. Besides, he's got a contract that doesn't expire till 2020.
