So many times over the years, we've seen Real Madrid treat their players as instruments, using them to achieve their aim and selling them off cheaply when another chap comes on the block. Such has been the case with Iker Casillas, Ozil, Di Maria, Pepe, Figo and most recently, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has been very displeased when Real Madrid sold off Ozil top Arsenal in 2013 when he was obviously the best supplier for Cristiano Ronaldo. This has angered the Portuguese who had take to the media to vent himself frustration. He lamented that Ozil had been the one player who understood husband move very well. He had to be sold off to make room for Bale and Isco who Perez had rated higher.
It's not just not therefore that Ronaldo had nursed the desire to leave the club. It's been long coming. For a club that doesn't put to mind the wishes of its best player, there can be no talk of loyalty. Ronaldo left because Real, and indeed Perez lacks respect for proven stewards.
