The Old Trafford club could make a sensational swoop for the Napoli defender this month.
For a long time, it has been obvious that United needs additions to their defense line as the players available aren't top quality. During the summer, then coach, Jose Mourinho made it known to the club that's the only way Manchester United could compete for major trophies was if they strengthened. That didn't happen and Mourinho was eventually sacked.
Manchester united had said they won't be making any January signing so long as they haven't settled for a permanent coach. It now looks like they are going to take another turn with their sights now set on the Frenchman.
Koulibaly is valued at £90 million by the Italian club.
