India beat Thailand 4-1 to win their first AFC cup match

Sunil Chettri scored two goals and India beat Thailand by 4 goals to 1. Jeje and Anirudh Thapa scored a goal each to make it a first win in the AFC final after almost thirty years for India.

Chettri scored from a penalty box to take a lead which was then cancelled by a superb header from Thailand. The perfect curling pass in the D-area was headed home by Thailand. Chettri then scored his second goal and that was a beauty. Anirudh Thapa scored the third for India near the D-box. It only took 2 minutes for Jeje to score a goal after coming to the field in the second half.

Overall, it was a very good performance and with his two goals, Chettri is only behind Ronaldo in scoring maximum number of goals for a national side. India will play UAE next.
