The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have joined in the dig for the truth concerning the matter of Salisu Yusuf who doubles Super Eagles' Assistant Coach and Nigeria Olympic Team coach, on the allegation of bribery wired against the coach.
The Nigerian coach is under the accusation that he collected an amount from two players who are desperate to be selected for participation in the continental championship.
Following the charges against the coach, he came out to deny all claims, saying the alleged money given by the two players are mere gifts from them, but NFF have decided to investigate the matter to the depth of it.
"The NFF have truly set in for deeper investigation, they picked interest to help the Committee of Ethics Fairplay on this sensitive matter." Ademola Olajire, who is the NFF Director of Communications told BBC Sport.
When asked, the coach said: "All are false allegations. It is not what they are saying, I didn't demand money, the players' agents gave me as gift and they said'hope they will play in the Championship' which I only responded with a smile. Tell me, who rejects a gift?"
