Vincent Kompany, being brought down on injury has been urged by John Stones, his teammate from Manchester City to get better quickly and feature in the World Cup so as for them to clash. Now, that would strengthen Belgium, the rival to England in their Group G but Stones cares less.
It was a shocking story in a friendly game against Portugal during the weekend when Kompany hurt his groin which caused his injury. In Euro 2016, the 32 year aged player whom they have tagged as fragile was forced out of the competition on grounds that he was not quite fit and since then, has been in his spot til his most recent injury.
Roberto Martinez, the Belgium’s boss has named his 23-man squad including Kompany but of course, as fragile as he is, a substitute by name, Laurent Ciman is all-ready if his fragility can’t stand the toughness of the match and he goes down again.
On the other side, he is fully fit, Vincent Kompany would be so great an asset for Belgium and then a needle in England’s flesh but Stone thinks otherwise and believes he would still be same whether recovered or not.
Stones said in a press interview that he hopes Vinny gets better quickly and as soon as he can because aside the rivaling game, his health should be the number one thing. He also agrees that Kompany is completely an outstanding player and Captain and upon hearing of his injury, he was distressed and would really love to see him featuring in the World Cup and if possible, other of their teammates in their various nations.
He told them that he never hopes for anyone at all being down with an injury and on Kompany’s case, it is a great blow to his country, Belgium, the Manchester City and to himself as they are friends. He wishes for the Captain to get back as quickly as possible and admits that it was really sad for him but when he heard his name was among the squad, he had high hopes and offers his prayers for him.

In, the second half of their Premier League, Man City’s Stones also suffered his own share of injury problems which caused him to miss some games as his knee and abdomen had several issues and to crown it all, a concussion caught up with him in March when he was back at England.
Speaking of his stand in the World Cup, he acknowledged that it was his first and also a great honor for him and he would try his utmost best to enjoy his time both within and outside the games.
