It was a shocking news breakout earlier today when it was announced that Sokratis Papastathopoulos, center back defender for Borussia Dortmund has turned down Manchester United’s deal for him. The defender was presented with a deal about a four year stretch but turned it down when the Gunners came up with their own deal. His father told the press that he was enthusiastic about Arsenal for some time and when the Red Devils came approaching him, he put them on hold till he finally accepted that of Arsenal.
He is also now the first player to be signed in by Emery Unai since he replaced Arsene Wenger.
