Since the end of the Premier League Championship which was won by them, Manchester City haven’t signed any player but yesterday, they broke that record by signing from Leceister City, their winger Riyad Mahrez in a deal which is worth about 60 Million Euros.
Riyad Mahrez is an Algerian player, aged about 27 year and is their first player they have signed and earlier, sometime in January, they were interested in signing the player but after they received a heart breaking price tag on the player, they backed off and went on other businesses.
Notwithstanding the fact that he had handed out a transfer request, the Leceister board still kept him down for the time being as he wounded up featuring in 36 of their matches and scoring in the League a total of 12 goals. His contribution to their games helped them in finishing ninth in the English Premier League as he became recognized better.
The player was formerly at Le Havre before he left the club in 2014 and moved to Leceister City in a deal about 400,000 Euros and for the time being, the PFA Players’ Player title was given to him in 2015/2016 where they performed well in the Premier League Championship.
In total, at his stay at Leceister, the Mahrez featured in 179 games and delivered a score of 48 total goals.
